Role Overview Provides direct patient care in a top-ranked GI/GU surgical unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration. Key Responsibilities Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients. Ensures effective communication and proactive planning across care continuums. Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers. Participates in activities supporting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development. Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness to ensure safe practices. Qualifications RN license required. Nursing diploma or associate degree, with preferred BSN. No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred for higher education levels.
