Role Overview Provides direct patient care in a top-ranked GI/GU surgical unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. Responsibilities Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication use. Participate in activities enhancing patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engage in professional development. Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with interdisciplinary team collaboration, ensuring effective communication across care continuum. Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors. Maintain safety awareness as a safety-sensitive role. Qualifications Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree and RN license; no experience required. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and less than 2 years of experience.
