Network and Support Specialist

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network and Support Specialist in Jacksonville, FL. Summary: The Network and Support Specialist plays a key role in maintaining and supporting the organization's technology infrastructure across both operational and business environments. This position is responsible for the administration of network and server systems, while also providing advanced technical assistance to end users when needed. Success in this role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, broad technical knowledge, and the flexibility to support both enterprise infrastructure and day-to-day user needs. Key Tasks:

• Administer and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including multiple LAN environments
• Serve as the highest level of technical escalation for complex infrastructure, systems, and application issues
• Provide onsite technical coverage at designated facilities to ensure continuous IT support
• Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, network devices, structured cabling, and related hardware
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, including cable testing, patching, and termination
• Monitor the health of systems through performance metrics, backup verification, and alert management, taking proactive steps to minimize downtime
• Install, update, and support operating systems, business applications, and enterprise software
• Deliver desktop support for employees, including setup, maintenance, repair, and replacement of computers, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
• Protect sensitive organizational information by following established security and confidentiality standards
• Record technical incidents, resolutions, and support activities within the organization's ticketing or documentation systems
• Create, manage, and maintain user identities, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
