Note: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field and at least 3 years of public accounting tax experience preparing individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns. Job Description Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, corporations, trusts, and exempt organizations. Review bookkeeping records, financial statements, general ledgers, and trial balances to ensure tax readiness. Communicate directly with clients regarding tax returns, missing information, notices, and planning opportunities. Research tax issues and apply federal and state tax regulations to client situations. Assist with estimated tax payments, extensions, and compliance requirements. Respond to IRS and state tax notices and support examinations when needed. Collaborate with accounting and bookkeeping teams to ensure accurate reporting. Support tax planning projects and advisory engagements. Maintain organized workpapers and documentation. Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field. 3+ years of public accounting tax experience. Experience preparing Forms 1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1120 returns. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance. Experience reviewing financial statements and bookkeeping records. Strong organizational and client communication skills. Proficiency with Excel, QuickBooks, and tax software. CPA or Enrolled Agent license preferred. Spanish fluency preferred.
