SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Interim Senior Accountant – Manufacturing Location: Bergen County, NJ (On-site) Compensation: $40–$55/hour (depending on experience) Duration: Interim / Contract (with potential for extension) Overview A well-established manufacturing company in Bergen County is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Accountant to support the accounting team during a transitional period. The role is hands‑on and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can quickly step in to manage key accounting functions with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial statements Manage general ledger activity, including journal entries and account reconciliations Lead and support month‑end and year‑end close processes Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions Assist with inventory accounting and cost analysis within a manufacturing environment Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requests Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiencies Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required) 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with inventory, cost accounting, or standard costing (a plus) Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Why This Role?
