Your Role Conduct routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond, adhering to established protocols. Ensure result accuracy by analyzing findings, troubleshooting any discrepancies, and maintaining and calibrating lab instruments. Support specimen collection efforts and prepare samples for testing as needed. Thoroughly document all procedures, contribute to training of new staff or students, and uphold laboratory quality standards. Maintain a clean, safe workspace while complying with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines. Education Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree, complemented by ASCP/AMT certification preparation. Certifications ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of hire. Keep certification current throughout your tenure. Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams. Strong independent judgment and problem-solving capacity in fast-paced or demanding situations. Detail-oriented with robust organizational skills, particularly in quality control and documentation.
