Work Hours (Client): Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5pm EST

Pay Range: $1,500 - $2,000 / month (varies based on skill set and experience level)

Location of Search: South Africa, Latin America or Philippines

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry / List Building Specialist to support outbound business development efforts by researching, building, cleaning, and enriching lead lists. This role is focused on turning incomplete or fragmented prospect data into accurate, usable, and well-organized lists that can be used for outreach, qualification, and appointment setting.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable doing repetitive but important research work, and capable of working across tools like Apollo, DealDogs, Clay, spreadsheets, CRMs, and related data enrichment systems. This person will help ensure that the sales team has high-quality data to work from, including contact information, decision-maker names, employee counts, company details, and other account-level information. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys research, data quality, and building reliable systems behind a sales process.

Duties and Responsibilities

List Building and Research

• Build targeted lead lists based on industry, geography, company size, and other qualifying criteria.
• Research companies to identify decision-makers, ownership details, employee counts, and key business information.
• Find missing contact information and fill in gaps in existing lead records.
• Source leads from internal tools and external platforms, including Apollo, DealDogs, and similar databases.

Data Entry and Data Quality

• Enter and update prospect data accurately in spreadsheets, CRM systems, and internal tracking tools.
• Clean and standardize records to ensure data is consistent, current, and usable.
• Remove duplicate entries and correct outdated or inaccurate information.
• Maintain clean formatting and organized records across all assigned projects.

Lead Qualification Support

• Assist in qualifying accounts based on criteria provided by the business development team.
• Help segment lists into prioritized tiers based on relevance, fit, or data completeness.
• Identify which leads are ready for outreach and which require more research or enrichment.

Collaboration and Workflow Support

• Work closely with sales, recruiting, or operations teams to understand target market requirements.
• Update internal stakeholders on list progress, completion status, and any data challenges.
• Support ongoing list maintenance as target industries or search criteria change.
• Help improve the efficiency and consistency of data workflows over time.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: 2 –5 years of experience in data entry, research, list building, operations, or administrative support.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks without losing quality.
• Comfortable researching companies and business contacts online.
• Experience working with spreadsheets and/or databases.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and prospecting tools preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain organized records.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Apollo, DealDogs, Clay, or similar lead enrichment platforms.
• Prior experience supporting sales, recruiting, or business development teams.
• Familiarity with AI tools or automation tools such as ChatGPT, Lindy, or similar platforms.
• Experience building or maintaining prospect lists for outbound campaigns.
• Understanding of how lead quality affects outreach performance.
