Role Description This full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role is based in Racine, WI. The individual in this position will identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with existing and prospective OEM customers, and expand Sanmina’s presence in target markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing market trends, developing account strategies, preparing proposals and quotations, and collaborating with internal teams such as engineering, operations, and finance to align solutions with customer needs. The role also involves leading customer presentations, negotiating commercial terms, supporting contract discussions, and maintaining an active pipeline of opportunities using CRM tools. The Business Development Manager will regularly report on sales performance, forecast revenue, and contribute to long-term growth initiatives and strategic planning. Qualifications Strong background in business development, sales, or account management within electronics manufacturing, EMS, or related technology sectors. Proficiency in market analysis, opportunity identification, and strategic planning to drive revenue growth and customer acquisition. Demonstrated skills in customer relationship management, including building trust, managing key accounts, and delivering customer-focused solutions. Experience preparing proposals, quotations, and commercial presentations, with solid negotiation and contract support skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, and senior leadership. Comfort with CRM systems, sales reporting, and forecasting tools; strong organizational and time-management capabilities. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience in a technical or manufacturing environment may be considered. Knowledge of OEM customer needs in sectors such as communications, medical, industrial, defense, or automotive is highly beneficial.
