Make a meaningful impact working in a specialized K-2 classroom supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Located near Peoria, AZ, this contract opportunity allows you to utilize your expertise as a Special Education Teacher in a collaborative and supportive school environment.
Your daily schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7:45am-3:15pm, providing both stability and work-life balance. The position begins as soon as possible, so you'll have the chance to step in and make a difference right away.
Qualified applicants will possess:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification (appropriate for K-2 in Arizona)
- Experience in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom settings preferred
- Ability to craft and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A collaborative, student-focused approach
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized and small-group instruction tailored to student needs
- Collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general education teachers
- Implementing effective behavioral strategies and classroom routines
- Participating in IEP meetings and progress monitoring
- Fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
