Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift/Workdays: - Weekend Requirements: Rotating Call Requirements: No Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours Special Skills/Experience Required: 2+ years

Unit Staffing: Assignments based on acuity and skills Equipment: ICU ventilators NxStage Arctic Sun Client Cardiac Output Monitor Other standard ICU equipment Documentation System: Meditech Floating Policy: As needed

CERTIFICATIONS:

CCRN preferred

HIRING PROFILE

MUST HAVE:

2+ years of MICU/MSICU experience BLS ACLS NIH Certification

PREFERRED / ADVANCED SKILLS:

Meditech experience preferred

SPECIALTY / UNIT CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Active Texas RN license Temporary licenses will not be accepted

PROCEDURES PERFORMED ON UNIT

Central line placements Bedside thoracentesis Dialysis catheter placements Cardioversions Intubations Other ICU procedures

PATIENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

MICU/MSICU experience

DRESS CODE

RN SCRUB COLOR:

Royal blue scrubs

NAIL POLICY:

Nails must be clean and healthy No artificial nails, gel, NextGen, etc.

HAIR:

Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed Hair must be pulled back if shoulder-length or longer when working in the lab

TATTOOS:

Body art should be covered whenever possible Body art that cannot be covered daily will be addressed individually

PIERCINGS:

Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited Includes nose rings, tongue rings, etc.
