About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP Controller to lead its accounting operations with a focus on accuracy, accountability, and growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting activities, including the month-end close, financial reporting, and regulatory submissions. This role involves close collaboration with the CFO, contributing to board reporting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations. The VP Controller will also be tasked with maintaining strong internal controls, identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation, and mentoring a high-performing accounting team. Applicants for the VP Controller position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, a CPA certification, and at least 5 years of leadership experience. Familiarity with banking laws and regulations is essential, as is a strong analytical skill set and proficiency in Microsoft applications. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated commitment to community or civic activities.
