HireLevel is seeking a Maintenance Lead for our client in Indianapolis, IN! Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician ready to step into a leadership role while staying hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are seeking a working lead who can guide a team, support daily maintenance operations, and ensure equipment reliability, safety, and uptime. The ideal candidate is a strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooter who can lead by example, coordinate daily work activities, and support technicians while maintaining high standards of safety and performance. Job Title: Maintenance Lead Job Type: Full-Time (Temp-to-Hire) Location: Indianapolis, IN Shift (A Shift – Days): 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Thursday Shift (B Shift – Nights): 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Thursday Similar Positions: Maintenance Technician, Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor (Assistant Level) Compensation: $36–40 per hour A current resume is required to be considered for this position. Responsibilities for Maintenance Leads: Perform hands‑on maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and systems Lead and support maintenance technicians on daily tasks and priorities Assist in assigning and coordinating maintenance work to ensure efficiency Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Support preventive maintenance activities and reduce equipment downtime Act as a point of contact for maintenance issues during assigned shift Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality standards (cGMP/HACCP where applicable) Communicate with production and maintenance leadership regarding equipment status Support training and development of maintenance team members Perform other duties as assigned Requirements for Maintenance Leads: 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience required 80% mechanical / 20% electrical maintenance experience required Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and piping systems Prior lead or informal leadership experience preferred Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment Strong safety mindset and attention to detail Must meet background check and drug screen requirements HireLevel is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr HireLevel.
