Full Time Prep Cooks Wanted

Tucker's in Newington is looking for full time prep cooks. Tucker's offers an amazing work environment, a great schedule (out by 3:30pm daily), plenty of hours and OT if desired, paid time off, health and dental insurance, and a 401k with company match. We also offer free uniforms and swag, and free food during your shift. Starting pay ranges from $16 to $18 per hour based on experience. Weekends are a must. Come see what we are all about!

At Tucker's, our prep cooks must be able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment without losing composure. Possess a strong knowledge of professional cooking practice, including handling knives and ensuring safety of food, team members, and customers. He/she must have a strong knowledge of recipes to be able to prepare varieties of food using different methods. Possess knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and processes relating to food preparation and safety. The prep cook must be able to pass ideas and information clearly to colleagues, food servers, customers, and management without being misunderstood. The cook must be able to analyze several contending options in the course of work and make the best decision as quickly as possible.
