Assistant/Associate Professor

Job Summary The Department of Pharmacology and Immunology at the Medical University of South Carolina invites applications for a full-time faculty position. The academic appointment will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the tenure track series. MUSC is in the historic city of Charleston, a top-ranked medical center. Responsibilities The successful candidate will complement the diverse research portfolio of the newly merged department, which includes T cell biology and adoptive cellular therapy, neuroimmunology, autoimmunity, infectious disease, redox metabolism, glycoproteomics, and multimodal spatial omics. Candidates conducting cutting‑edge research in any aspect of cancer pharmacology or immunology are encouraged to apply. The candidate will establish and maintain a rigorous extramurally funded research program and participate in strong graduate training programs. Outstanding core facilities are available on campus, including a state‑of‑the‑art Mass Spectrometry Facility within the department that specializes in the analysis of post‑translational modifications of proteins. Qualifications All applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., as well as postdoctoral research experience with a strong record of research accomplishments and publications. Academic credentials and existing extramural grant support will determine faculty rank. Highly competitive start‑up packages are available, including ample laboratory space.
