Engineer in Training (EIT)

Job Description

Impact Recruitment is partnering with a growing engineering firm Charleston, South Carolina. This position will focus on site design, grading, drainage, and permitting in South Carolina.

What You'll Do:

• Design and prepare site development plans using AutoCAD/Civil 3D for a range of projects, from residential subdivisions to commercial and institutional developments.
• Utilize HydroCAD to develop effective stormwater runoff models and design stormwater management systems.
• Navigate the local and state permitting process, preparing reports and presenting projects at public meetings.
• Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with regulations and design specifications.
• Collaborate with the team on business development, proposal writing, and project planning.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
• EIT Certification
• 2+ years of experience in site design, grading, drainage, and permitting in South Carolina
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D & HydroCAD
• Strong knowledge of stormwater hydrology/hydraulics and land development permitting
• Familiarity with land surveying techniques and construction administration
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a dynamic team environment
• Excellent communication and project management skills
