Marquis Design Group has been in business over 35 years and is a leader in custom window treatments, bedding, upholstery, and soft furnishings, serving both luxury residential and commercial clients throughout South Florida. We are looking for an experienced, motivated professional to help grow our commercial window treatment division.Position Summary
We are seeking a Commercial Window Treatments Sales & Project Specialist with experience managing commercial shading and drapery projects from initial client contact through installation.
The ideal candidate understands the commercial construction process, enjoys building relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and property managers, and is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.Responsibilities
- Develop new commercial business opportunities.
- Build relationships with architects, interior designers, general contractors, developers, and property managers.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and project estimates.
- Review architectural drawings and specifications.
- Conduct site visits and field measurements.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, vendors, and installers.
- Manage projects from award through installation.
- Attend client meetings and job site walkthroughs.
- Work closely with our design and production teams to ensure successful project completion.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in commercial window treatments, contract furnishings, architectural products, or commercial interiors.
- Strong sales and relationship-building skills.
- Experience reading architectural drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of commercial drapery systems, roller shades, solar shades, blackout systems, and motorized window treatments.
- Knowledge of commercial codes, fire safety laws, etc.
- Familiarity with products from manufacturers such as Lutron, Somfy, Hunter Douglas, Mecho, or similar is a must.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Quickbooks, or project management software is a must.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout South Florida.
