Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in a comprehensive care team, working directly with patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and diagnoses for patients, identifying their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that cater to individual capabilities and encourage optimal recovery outcomes.
• Implementing evidence-based physical therapy techniques and exercises aimed at restoring mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing physical function.
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective and timely recovery.
• Coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to enhance integrated patient care across various settings.
• Educating patients and their families about rehabilitation practices, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategies.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with legal and clinical standards, ensuring seamless discharge planning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The orthopedic department primarily serves individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, surgical procedures, and chronic pain conditions. Our patients range in age from adolescents to seniors, necessitating a diverse approach to treatment tailored to various rehabilitation needs. You will engage with patients from different backgrounds, each with unique health challenges and rehabilitation requirements, allowing you to apply your skills in diverse and meaningful ways.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A National Provider Identifier (NPI) for billing and insurance purposes.
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches specific to orthopedics.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills for effective patient education and engagement.
• The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills to manage a busy caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in outpatient settings is required, preferred candidates will have additional experience or training in orthopedic rehabilitation. Compensation and Benefits
