Because at UKG, your work matters—and so do you.Senior Product Marketing Manager – HCM & PayrollAbout the RoleWe're looking for a Product Marketing Manager initiates and collaborates on positioning, content, and go-to-market execution for UKG's HCM and Payroll product lines. This is a builder role — you'll develop the slides, the stories, the battlecards, and the launch plans. You'll be a key team player between Product Management, Sales, and Marketing, making sure products are clearly positioned and sales teams are fully enabled to win.We're looking for someone who can identify what needs to be done and drive it independently, while working effectively within a small team as well as across a large, cross-functional organization.Key Responsibilities can include:Positioning & MessagingDevelop differentiated messaging and value propositions for HCM and Payroll productsBuild and maintain persona frameworks and product capability mapsCreate competitive differentiation materials — battlecards, competitive decks, ROI narrativesDevelop compelling stories tied to measurable HR and Payroll business outcomesMarket & Customer StrategyLead market segmentation and ICP definition for select HCM and Payroll productsCompile competitive research and monitor market trends to sharpen positioningMap customer journeys across HR, Payroll, and Finance buyer and user personasGather and synthesize field feedback from Sales and act as the voice of the customer to Product ManagementPerform opportunity sizing and whitespace analysis to identify growth areasProduct CommercializationOwn end-to-end product launches for HCM and Payroll, from planning through post-launch measurementPartner with Pricing and GTM on packaging, tiering, and monetization inputBuild and maintain core sales enablement content — decks, one-pagers, demo guides, FAQsDefine launch success metrics and track post-launch adoptionProduct Operations & Project ManagementServe as an operational hub for product marketing: manage intake, prioritization, and content calendarsBuild and maintain project tracking systems that keep launches and campaigns on scheduleCoordinate across Marketing, Product, and Sales to ensure cross-functional alignment and on-time deliveryCreate scalable templates and repeatable processes that increase team output and consistencyBusiness & Product InfluenceAct as a trusted partner to Product Management, feeding in customer and market insights to influence roadmapTranslate field learnings into actionable recommendations for Sales strategy and positioningSupport executive-level presentations as neededQualifications3–5 years of experience in product marketing or a closely related field (SaaS/B2B strongly preferred); HCM, Payroll, or HR tech experience a plusHands-on content creator — comfortable building slides, one-pagers, and enablement assets yourselfStrong project management skills; proven ability to manage multiple workstreams with competing deadlinesSelf-starter who can identify what needs to be done and execute without waiting for directionStrong cross-functional collaborator — comfortable working across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Finance in a matrixed environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills; strong storytelling instinctsFamiliarity with project management tools (Confluence, Jira , or similar) a plusSuccess in This Role Looks LikeHCM and Payroll products clearly positioned in market with materials Sales uses to win dealsProduct launches executed on time with measurable adoption impactA reliable, organized presence that cross-functional partners know they can count onGrowing ownership of strategic work — positioning, roadmap influence, competitive strategy — over timeStrong working relationships with Product, Sales, and Marketing stakeholdersCompany Overview:UKG is the Workforce Operating Platform that puts workforce understanding to work. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location.
