Compliance Manager

Job ID: 10455254 | Amazon.com Services LLC Amazon is seeking an experienced Compliance Program Manager for its Denied Party Screening (DPS) compliance team. The role focuses on providing sanctions guidance, managing cross‑business projects, and driving low‑friction risk mitigation solutions to support Amazon’s core operations. Key Responsibilities Identify and interpret new sanctions regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the DPS program and broader compliance strategy. Develop and maintain sanctions‑related guidance and standard operating procedures to support onboarding of new businesses and to enhance existing compliance frameworks. Review complex edge cases and sensitive investigations, establishing risk tolerance that balances mitigation with customer obsession. Provide support on escalations and appeals, coordinating with senior leadership, external business partners, and Legal. Prioritize multiple workstreams, delivering timely responses and maintaining a sense of urgency. Proactively analyze how regulatory updates impact the program and suggest improvements to investigation frameworks and risk‑based approaches. Communicate regularly with Legal, other Compliance functions, and business partners (operations, product, leadership teams) to deliver concise requirements. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 4+ years of experience in sanctions compliance or a related field. Experience conducting reviews of customers and business activities to determine compliance requirements. Strong working knowledge of global sanctions regulations, including OFAC, BIS, and EU/UK sanctions. Preferred Qualifications Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives. Experience in trade compliance, customs operations, brokerage, or supply chain logistics. Experience with sanctions research and investigation skills. Ability to transform complex compliance requirements into scalable processes. Professional certifications (e.g., CGSS, CAMS from ACAMS).
