We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Credentialing Coordinator to support provider enrollment, credential verification, and regulatory compliance across a nationwide healthcare network. In this role, you will help ensure that healthcare providers and facilities maintain active credentials, licenses, and enrollment status with contracted insurance payers and healthcare organizations. You will coordinate credentialing and re-credentialing activities, manage documentation, and monitor deadlines to support uninterrupted provider participation and appropriate reimbursement. Working closely with credentialing supervisors, healthcare providers, and internal teams, you will contribute to efficient administrative operations and reliable data management. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a healthcare administration professional who values accuracy, accountability, and responsive service. Your work will help strengthen operational compliance and support community-based oncology practices in delivering quality patient care. Accountabilities Coordinate initial provider enrollment, re-enrollment, credentialing, and re-credentialing activities for healthcare providers and medical groups across multiple locations. Document, track, and maintain all credentialing, enrollment, re-credentialing, and hospital privileging activities within the designated credentialing management platform. Monitor provider and facility licenses, certifications, and other required credentials to ensure they remain current, active, accurate, and compliant with applicable regional requirements. Coordinate enrollment activities with contracted insurance payers and monitor provider participation status to help maintain appropriate access to reimbursement. Prepare and submit hospital privileges applications for physicians, including completing required forms and gathering supporting documentation when necessary. Monitor processing timelines, follow up on outstanding requirements, and ensure credentialing and enrollment deadlines are consistently met. Meet regularly with the Credentialing Supervisor and team members to communicate progress, report outstanding items, and provide updates on enrollment and credentialing activities. Participate in training sessions, special projects, and system updates, adopting new workflows and procedures within established timeframes. Use spreadsheets, credentialing databases, and standard office applications to maintain records, track progress, and support operational reporting. Identify documentation gaps, expired credentials, and potential compliance issues, escalating complex or unusual matters to the appropriate supervisor. Deliver responsive customer service and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve routine credentialing and enrollment questions. Perform additional administrative and coordination duties as assigned by management. Requirements At least 3 years of experience in healthcare credentialing, payer enrollment, managed care administration, or a related provider operations environment. Familiarity with insurance payer requirements, provider enrollment procedures, credentialing standards, and common payer-related issues. Experience using credentialing databases or management platforms is preferred, particularly systems such as IntelliCred, E-Vips, Vistar, Cactus, or Symed. Working knowledge of provider and facility licensing, certification tracking, re-credentialing, and hospital privileging processes. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records, monitor expiration dates, and manage multiple documentation requirements simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including maintaining spreadsheets, updating records, and preparing professional documents. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to coordinating with providers, internal teams, and other stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize assignments, track deadlines, and follow established procedures. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and supervisors. Sound judgment and the ability to recognize discrepancies, follow policies, seek guidance when needed, and elevate complex issues appropriately. A willingness to learn new systems, adapt to evolving workflows, and participate in required training and process improvement initiatives. A college degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience may also be considered. Flexibility to work additional hours, including overtime and weekends, when operational requirements necessitate. A dependable, service-oriented mindset and commitment to maintaining confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance in a healthcare environment. Benefits Competitive hourly compensation: $18.20–$29.70 per hour, depending on geographic location, education, relevant experience, skills, and internal pay equity considerations. Work-life resources to help employees manage professional and personal responsibilities. Healthy lifestyle programs that encourage overall well-being. Nationwide remote work arrangement, offering the flexibility to work remotely within the United States. Professional development opportunities through training, exposure to credentialing systems, and experience with healthcare compliance and managed care operations.
