Producer, Employee Benefits

Ignition Benefits is an AI-native, independent employee benefits brokerage based in Santa Monica, backed by Y Combinator and Equal Ventures. We give employers access to the workforce health and risk data that underwriters use, so they can take control of their benefits and every renewal. We serve companies from first hire to 500 employees, with a focus on 25 to 250 employee companies that already have a broker. One early client reversed a 20%+ renewal increase and saved about $160K with zero disruption to employees. We are building the team that turns that result into the standard for every client: control, transparency and service. The role You will win and grow employer clients for Ignition, owning the full sales cycle from first meeting to broker of record. You will join a producer team led by our Chief Producer and backed by SDRs, partner referrals and data no other independent broker brings to the table. Location: Remote What you will do Run discovery with CFOs, CEOs and HR leaders at 25 to 250 employee companies and find where their current plan is leaving money on the table Use carrier underwriting data to show employers how to take control of their renewal, then carry it through to a broker of record decision Work SDR-set meetings, partner and PE referrals, and your own network Bring your existing book to Ignition where clients choose to follow you Keep every opportunity current in Salesforce so forecasts stay accurate Partner with Account Management to hand off cleanly and stay close through the first renewal Give product and marketing direct feedback from the field What you bring 3+ years producing in employee benefits, with a track record of closed group business An existing book of business, or a clear plan for the clients you expect to bring A Life and Health license in good standing (or the ability to get one within 60 days) Command of a discovery conversation: you ask the second and third question Comfort with funding arrangements, PEO exits and fully insured renewals Disciplined CRM habits and comfort with AI tools Compensation Base salary plus split commission on new business you close Medical, dental and vision for you and your family Equity in an early-stage, venture-backed company How we hire First interview with our GTM lead Deeper conversation with our CEO Group interview: you run a live discovery and pitch, and our Chief Producer pushes back the way a real buyer would #J-18808-Ljbffr Ignition Benefits (YC F26)
