Job Description:

St. Anthony Hospital is seeking urgent coverage for their Gastroenterology team to begin in late May 2026. The coverage will involve inpatient procedures including ERCP, EUS, endoscopy, and evaluations of GI issues. This position is ideal for providers experienced with these advanced procedures and comfortable working during on-call shifts.


Responsibilities:

• Perform ERCP, EUS, and other endoscopic procedures
• Evaluate and manage GI bleeding and other GI problems
• Provide consultative services within the inpatient setting
• Collaborate with hospital staff and attend to patients during scheduled shifts and on-call periods

Schedule & Availability:

• 5-7 days per month, ongoing into 2025, with specific dates including June 26-28, 2026, and future dates to be confirmed
• Shifts end daily at 7:00 AM
• 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM)
• Average callback hours: Weekday - 11.63 hours; Weekend - 10.38 hours
• Support EMR with EPIC; provider must complete credentialing and EMR training prior to start

Credentialing & Training:

• Complete pre-application and full application for credentialing within 60-90 days
• Complete EMR modules and virtual training at least one week before start date
• Provide required documentation including licensure, NPDB report, and facility credentials
• Must have EPIC experience, with details about last usage and facility

Travel & Lodging:

• Candidates must be willing to stay at preferred hotels (Sheraton Denver West, Hampton Inn, Sonesta Simply Suites, Towne Place Suites, Fairfield Inn) and request pre-negotiated rates
• Local or drive-in preferred; travel exceptions must be disclosed upfront

Additional Details:

• Level 1 Trauma center with 24/7 intensivists and hospitalists
• Patient population: Adults and geriatrics; pediatric trauma patients for those over 15 and over 50 kg
• Patient volume: 8-10 new patients daily, with 5-8 scopes performed per day
• No inpatient pediatric admissions; GI services are consultative only

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $0.00 (To be confirmed)
• Malpractice included
• Orientation: $262.50 - $275 (per half-hour/callback after 8 hours)
• On-Call (Daily): $5,200 - $5,600 (per 24 hours, includes 8 hours gratis)
• 24 Hour Holiday Call Rate: $7,800 - $8,400 (per 24 hours, includes 8 hours gratis)
• Call Back: $525 - $550 per hour of patient contact after gratis hours; prorated per MSA terms
• Holiday Call Back: $787.50 - $825 per holiday hour of patient contact, after gratis hours
