Doctor of Medicine | Gastroenterology Location: Lakewood, CO Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology Job Description: St. Anthony Hospital is seeking a Gastroenterologist to provide urgent coverage starting May 28, 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience performing ERCP and EUS procedures. This position involves inpatient work at a Level 1 Trauma center, with responsibilities including scoping, ERCP, EUS, endoscopy, evaluating GI problems, and managing GI bleeding. The schedule involves 5-7 days per month of 24-hour call coverage, with shifts ending the following morning at 7 AM. Ongoing dates will be scheduled into 2026 and into 2025, based on coverage needs. Schedule & Availability: 24-hour call shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. 5-7 days per month, ongoing into 2025 and beyond. Shifts include inpatient setting with EMR system EPIC. Procedures & Job Duties: ERCP, EUS, Endoscopy, GI Bleed assessment, GI problem evaluation. Credentialing & Training: Credentialing to be completed within 60-90 days; emergency privileges within 1-2 weeks if file is clean. Must complete EMR modules and virtual training at least one week prior to first day. Candidates must provide details including Epic experience and timing, along with a recent photo for badge creation. Travel & Lodging: Candidates are preferred to stay at designated hotels (Sheraton Denver West, Hampton Inn, Sonesta Simply Suites, Towne Place Suites Marriott, Fairfield Inn Denver West) and request pre-negotiated rates. Local or drive-in candidates highly preferred.
