Clinical Geneticist

Are you ready to translate cutting-edge genomic discoveries into life-altering clinical therapies? We are seeking an elite, industry-proven geneticist to serve as the critical strategic bridge-taking high-potential programs out of the lab and designing the precise genotyping, sequencing, and patient-stratification blueprints that will define the future of neurodegenerative drug trials.

PART-TIME: 10-20 hours/week.

responsibilities:

• Support genetics and pharmacogenomics applications across indications, focusing on neurodegenerative disorders.
• Guide clinical teams on genotyping and DNA/RNA sequencing for patient identification, inclusion criteria, and stratification.
• Assist drug discovery and development teams in designing, executing, and interpreting clinical pharmacogenomic analyses.
• Collaborate with biomarker and clinical development teams to establish protocols for pharmacogenomic biomarker applications.
• Select, onboard, and manage specialized clinical vendors to support ongoing trials.
• Leverage human genetics expertise to identify novel drug targets and expand the internal knowledge base.

 
qualifications:
Required:

• MD/PhD, MD, PhD, or M.Sc. with 3-5 years of industry experience in human/statistical genetics, pharmacogenomics, or clinical genetic care (e.g., molecular diagnostics, genetic counseling).
• Matrixed leadership experience and excellent communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of genetic testing platforms, data analysis, clinical interpretation, and reporting.
• Strong grasp of ethical/regulatory frameworks for human genetic data.
• Familiarity with public and controlled-access databases for evaluating benign/pathogenic gene variants.
• Proven track record with human genetic data (IRB submissions, protocol development, clinical trials, or publications).

Preferred:

• PhD/Postdoc in Pharmacogenetics.
• Experience in clinical trial design/protocol drafting.
• Track record applying genomic technologies (including ADME/safety).
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for clinical genomic markers.
