Locum Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine
We are seeking an experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join a prominent healthcare facility located in vibrant Detroit, Michigan. This facility boasts a Level III NICU and supports both high- and low-risk obstetric patients, with an annual volume of approximately 3,000 deliveries. You'll work with a dedicated team in a supportive environment, providing essential care to the community.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide full-time coverage starting January 1, 2027, through approximately January 24, 2027, with part-time options thereafter.
- Assist in rounding on inpatient maternal-fetal medicine patients with residents.
- Provide inpatient consults and phone consultations, ensuring timely evaluations when necessary.
- Supervise residents in a high-risk OB clinic as needed.
- Interpret and manage ultrasound services and related consultations, including hands-on ultrasound interpretation.
- Perform necessary procedures such as amniocentesis, cerclage, and external cephalic version (ECV).
- Collaborate with a sonographer to conduct up to eight ultrasounds per day in the outpatient setting.
- Participate in call coverage for nights and weekends with minimal callbacks.
- Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine (REQUIRED)
- Active Michigan Medical License or IMLC (REQUIRED)
- BLS and ACLS certification through AHA (REQUIRED)
- Ability to perform required job procedures confirmation at the time of submission is necessary (REQUIRED)
- Experience in a high-volume maternity setting is preferred.
- Positive history regarding malpractice or background checks will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Board Certified (REQUIRED)
- Michigan Medical License or IMLC (REQUIRED)
- BLS, ACLS (REQUIRED)
