The Role: Location: Gaylord, Cadillac, and Charlevoix, MI Number of Positions: 2 Shift Type: 24-hour coverage; coverage needed approximately 3 to 6 days per month. Days of week vary. In House Call: Yes - 24-hour call coverage typically 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.; beeper/phone call coverage; call ratio of 1:5; average callback volume varies. Cases: Routine vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, management of obstetric emergencies. Practice Setting: 100% Inpatient/Hospital-Based. Trauma Level I and Level II facilities. Patient population: Adult. Average daily patient volume: 2 to 5 patients, depending on census and acuity. Site Charting System: Oracle. Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days Qualifications: Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology required; broad scope OB/GYN experience including routine deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies in a rural setting; clean malpractice history required. Candidates must hold an active Michigan medical license at time of submission. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, EFM, and NRP. DEA registration required. Compensation: Shift rate range: $4,000 to $4,800 per shift. 2 gratis hours with Call Back. Travel & Logistics: Lodging approved; mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate; rental car. Michigan residents preferred.
