Description:A Client Fetal Medicine locum is needed to join the team.Coverage begins January 1, 2027, with full-time coverage needed through approximately January 24, 2027.Part-time or twice-monthly coverage will be needed after January.The workload includes 0-5 inpatient patients per day, averaging 2.The facility has approximately 3,000 deliveries annually.The MFM service supports both high- and low-risk obstetric patients.The reason for coverage is one provider leaving.Potential coverage may be required for outpatient services on Tuesdays and Thursdays.There is one sonographer, one machine, with up to 8 ultrasounds per day.A high-risk resident clinic is conducted for half a day per week, typically managing 4-7 patients.The schedule consists of Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with nightly call coverage on weekdays and 24-hour call coverage on weekends.In-house coverage will be required for outpatient ultrasound and inpatient consult needs on weekdays.After January, recurring coverage is anticipated approximately twice monthly, with in-house on Thursday and Friday, and call on Saturday and Sunday.Call back is very minimal.Clinical responsibilities include reviewing and rounding on inpatient maternal-fetal medicine patients with residents, providing inpatient consults and phone consultations, as well as in-person evaluations when clinically needed.The locum is expected to supervise residents in the high-risk OB clinic when necessary and interpret/manage ultrasound services and related consults.No delivery coverage, GYN surgery, or GYN call coverage is expected.Required procedures include amniocentesis, cerclage (including rescue cerclage), and external cephalic version (ECV).Preferred procedures include chorionic villus sampling (CVS). #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
