About Our Client

Our client is a premier residential interior general contractor specializing in full gut renovations of luxury apartments and penthouses throughout Manhattan. They partner with high-net-worth clients, top-tier architects, and leading designers to deliver exceptional, detail-driven spaces.

Job Description

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for the following:

Develop detailed cost estimates for full gut residential renovations
Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications
Solicit, review, and level subcontractor bids
Work closely with Project Managers and design teams during preconstruction
Assist in budgeting, value engineering, and cost analysis
Identify scope gaps, risks, and cost-saving opportunities
Maintain pricing databases and subcontractor/vendor relationships
Support client-facing cost discussions as needed

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator should have:

7+ years of estimating experience in construction
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, or similar)
NYC construction experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is a plus
