Medical Secretary

Job TitlePrimary duties will include but are not limited to:Greeting patients in a friendly, professional mannerAnswering, screening, and directing phone calls to appropriate parties without errorChecking patients in and out; facilitating test ordering, follow-up appointment scheduling, etc.Calling physical appointments, a day before to remind patientsCalling "no-show" patients and rescheduling them for another appointmentFollowing processes related to timely and accurate electronic filingDelivering patient messages to physicians, care teams and patientsAssisting with prior authorizations for prescriptionsScheduling patient appointmentsCalling/scheduling patients on pursuit listsRequirements:High School Diploma / GEDOne year experience in a fast paced clinic environment, preferably in a family practice/internal medicine settingThe ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writingEnergetic, professional mannerEMR proficient, Cerner experience preferredExcellent Computer Skills, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word a plusSalary Range: $25.00 - $27.92/hr
