Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary:
Seeking a licensed RN specialized in Medical Surgical/Telemetry to provide high-quality patient care in a tertiary care hospital setting. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 during night shifts and ensure compliance with all certification and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care in accordance with facility protocols and standards.

• Monitor and document patient conditions utilizing EPIC electronic charting system.

• float between departments as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.

• Ensure all required certifications, including BLS and NIHSS, are current and documented.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized patient care plans.

• Follow hospital policies regarding staff return intervals and background verification.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY license in hand prior to start; no exceptions.

• Possess at least 1 year of recent Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience.

• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC charting software.

• Maintain current BLS and NIHSS certifications, providing valid proof with submissions.

• Be able to handle an assigned patient load of 1:5 to 1:7 patients safely and effectively.

• Be willing to float as required within the hospital’s units.
