Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for team activities of production employees during their assigned 12‑hour shift. The Supervisor will have responsibility for Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost performance metrics for their assigned team. This role will serve as the on‑site leader and be responsible for all production employees during the shift and indirectly guide support department priority. The ideal leader sets and maintains standards through their own example. This role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on‑site. Schedule (2-2-3) Day Shift (7am-7pm) Responsibilities Ensure team members’ adherence to specified standards of safety, quality, operating procedures and company policies by acting as a positive role model. Ensure product conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of machines. Adjust work procedures and distribute manpower to meet production schedules and shift goals. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality. Initiate plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals and analyze and resolve or assist workers in solving work problems. Effectively record and maintain comprehensive documentation of each team member’s actions/behaviors in the electronic appraisal database throughout each appraisal period. Maintain time, production and performance records of each team member. Perform periodic review and update of job descriptions of team members. Coordinate activities of individual teams and departments in conversation with other supervisors. Qualifications Clear oral and written communication skills for individual and group situations, meetings, and presentations. Problem‑solving and ability to react to production disruptions with a continuous improvement mindset using lean principles. Ability to work at a desk and on the production floor, including standing, walking, and negotiating stairs, ladders, elevated catwalks and platforms in hot or cold environments on slippery surfaces. Coordinate planning and determination of work techniques with other supervisors. Direct other employees and record productivity, proficiency, behavior and other characteristics for employee appraisals and promotion decisions. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
