Location: Chillicothe, Ohio Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to lead and support employee benefits, retirement, leave, and well-being programs.
This role serves as a key Benefits subject matter expert, partnering with HR and organizational leaders to deliver competitive, compliant, and employee-focused programs.
What You’ll Do
Manage day-to-day health and welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
Lead annual open enrollment and benefits communications.
Oversee retirement plans, including 403(b) and 457 plans.
Manage FMLA, ADA accommodations, disability, workers’ compensation, and other leave programs.
Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and ADA requirements.
Manage benefits vendors, monitor performance, and support contract negotiations.
Analyze benefits data, utilization, and trends to recommend improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Support employee well-being and financial wellness programs.
Develop benefits education, policies, procedures, and communications.
Partner with HR leaders and organizational teams on benefits strategy and special projects.
Prepare reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
5–7 years of progressive experience in benefits, total rewards, or HR.
Demonstrated leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of benefits, retirement, leave administration, and compliance.
Experience with benefits analytics, reporting, and vendor management.
Strong communication, organization, project management, and relationship-building skills.
Healthcare HR/benefits experience is preferred.
Preferred Certifications
CEBS, CBP, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are a plus.
