Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney

Overview Our client is a national defense law firm seeking a Tennessee-licensed attorney with experience in General Liability defense, including medical malpractice and long-term care, to join offices in Memphis, TN; Knoxville, TN; or Nashville, TN. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 3-5 years of experience who specialize in defending general liability claims, premises liability, and professional lines including medical malpractice and assisted living/long-term care. Our client’s General Liability Practice Group defends a diverse range of clients from initial claims handling through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal, providing comprehensive representation tailored to client needs. Responsibilities Reviewing and preparing summaries of medical records to advocate for clients. Drafting motions and attending hearings to represent clients in court. Preparing clients for depositions and attending depositions as needed. Drafting initial, interim, pre-trial, and appellate reports and activity. Responding to discovery requests and drafting discovery-related motions. Regularly attending court appearances to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $100,000 to $180,000 annually, plus benefits. Qualifications Admitted to practice in Tennessee. Analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues.
