Always working to achieve production targets through effective interaction with the processes. A good understanding of the machinery & ensuring you achieve the desired results in terms of Quality, Safety, Hygiene and Waste. This will be achieved through having the knowledge and understanding of the assigned machines on the line, process, and products. Attention to detail and always operating within the required parameters of your machines. Primary Responsibilities: Manage Production: Oversee 1 to 3 industrial baking machines simultaneously, including the oven and pre-weighing ingredients. Safety and Compliance: Participate in and adhere to all food safety and safety programs. Certification: Complete assigned certification courses required throughout the year. Adaptability: Willing to work in varying temperatures. Technical Training: Trained and certified on Laserflux. Ingredient Preparation: Pre-weigh and prepare raw baking ingredients. Quality Control: Ensure cone product quality meets standards throughout the baking process. Equipment Maintenance: Break down and install machinery parts. Sanitation: Wash equipment and parts between production changeovers. Work Area Maintenance: Maintain equipment and work area in sanitary, working condition. Shift Preparation: Leave area prepared and cleaned for the next shift. Communication: Effectively communicate all relevant information to other production shifts and employees. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Food Safety: Follow food safety management system policies and procedures to protect the brand through extraordinary food safety and product quality. Flexibility: Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Team Development: Develop and mentor other team members. Position Qualifications: 18 years of age or older Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules. High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience One year related experience (preferred). The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and depending on the area assigned may regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. In this position, the employee will regularly work with and around others; in a wet and/or humid environment; in areas of high noise level; and around mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. The work is fast-paced. The position involves frequent exposure to nuts and other potential allergens. The pay scale for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The pay scale disclosed below has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay rate for this position is $ 20.50 per hour.
