Specialty Backup Available: Yes, including CT Surgery, ICU, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Credentialing Timeline: 60 days

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
Licenses: Active Louisiana State License
DEA / CDS: Active Louisiana DEA and Controlled Substance (CS) registration required
Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (required for FM/IM boarded physicians)
Other Qualifications: Must possess all required licenses and certifications in hand prior to presentation

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide emergency medical care to patients in the Emergency Department
Perform medical screening exams and stabilize patients
Order and interpret diagnostic tests including CT, MRI, and ultrasound
Coordinate with ICU and specialty services for patient admissions
Document patient encounters in EPIC EMR
