Project Architect

Project ArchitectHDR is looking for a Project Architect for our Justice practice. This position would ideally be based in our Tampa office but can also be located in Orlando, Jacksonville or West Palm Beach.Responsibilities include:Leading a multidiscipline team and performing layout and detailing on architectural projectsIndependently coordinating work of a multidiscipline team through multiple phases of a projectEstablishing owner/client and internal meetings, and participating in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceConducting work sessions at project site in conjunction with Project Manager and other disciplinesCoordinating workload of team members through multiple phases to complete documents on scheduleReviewing architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesPerforming QA/QC and technical reviewsWriting and editing architectural specificationsCoordinating with and assisting affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change ordersIncorporating agreed-upon changes into project documentsLeading projects in a dual management role as neededProviding construction contract administration as neededPerforming other duties as neededPreferred qualifications:Master's degree in ArchitectureExperience in the design of civic and justice facilitiesExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEEDKnowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio MaxRhino and Grasshopper experienceNewforma experienceRequired qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related fieldA minimum of 5 years experienceRegistered ArchitectExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)Excellent written and communication skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processDemonstrated graphic presentation skillsMust have experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specificationsStrong knowledge of codes and good planning skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustHDR is committed to creating an inclusive environment where each of us is welcomed, valued, respected and empowered to bring our authentic selves to work every day.
