VIP/Events Coordinator
The VIP/Events Coordinator is responsible for delivering exceptional, personalized service to guests and ensuring flawless execution of resort events. This role blends hospitality, event logistics, and guest relations, acting as the primary liaison between VIP guests, internal departments, and external vendors. The coordinator anticipates needs, manages details, and elevates every experience.
Responsibilities include maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, effectively communicating both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner. The coordinator must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests. They must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. The coordinator should approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner. They must attend all hotel required meetings and trainings, participate in M.O.D. coverage as required, and maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards. High standards of personal appearance and grooming are required, including wearing nametags. The coordinator must comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations, maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions. They must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary, and must be able to understand and evaluate complex information from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
Qualifications include at least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field, or a 4-year college degree, or a 2-year college degree and 1 or more years of related experience. Proficiency in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing is required. Physical requirements include flexible and long hours sometimes required, and medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
