Job Title Student Worker: Honors College- Frontdesk Agency East Texas A&M University Department Honors Program Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location Commerce, Texas Job Type Student Worker Job Description Front office job description: Seeking a self-motivated, multi-tasking, well organized, and professional student employee who possesses strong verbal and written communication skills to assist in staffing the Honors College office. The student worker will report to the departmental administrative coordinator and complete tasks like data entry, appointment scheduling, office coverage (answer phones, greeting walk-ins), content creation for newsletter and social media, and assisting with HC-related programs or events as needed. May work up to 19 hours per week and must be available Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12 pm-5pm. Additional hours available to work based on student availability. Must be willing to work during fall and spring semesters. Potential for summer hours. Must be familiar with and able to use Outlook mail and Outlook calendar, Microsoft Word and Excel. Participation in Honors College preferred. Must be awarded federal or state work-study through Financial Aid May work up to 19 hours per week during the semester May work full-time during breaks and summer if returning in the fall Must not work during scheduled class times Positions are limited to the amount awarded and must follow program guidelines Graduate Assistantships Graduate assistantships offer opportunities to teach, conduct research, or assist in academic departments while continuing your graduate education.
