Education Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Ability to read and interpret job specifications, production documents, and work instructions. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of press brake machine setup and operating experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Experience reading blueprints, measuring finished parts, and maintaining production quality standards. Ability to troubleshoot problems, make machine adjustments, and support workflow efficiency. Strong teamwork, dependability, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and cross-train in other departments as needed.

Physical Capabilities

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during production shifts. Frequent use of hands, arms, and manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle materials. Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, and reach throughout the workday. Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Ability to work safely around moving mechanical equipment in a fast-paced, high-noise manufacturing environment. Strong close vision and focus adjustment capabilities for inspection and measurement tasks.

Job Duties

Set up and operate press brake machinery according to production specifications. Read work orders and adjust machine settings, stops, and guides for accurate production. Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy. Perform routine machine maintenance, including lubrication and basic equipment care. Stack, mark, package, and transport completed products. Support departmental workflow and production goals while maintaining efficiency. Follow all workplace safety procedures and quality standards. Assist with cross-training and provide production support in other manufacturing areas as needed.
