Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney
Location: Seattle, WA
Compensation: $225,000–$365,000 + potential productivity and merit bonuses

Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate to join the Seattle office of a leading Am Law firm . This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 1–5 years of litigation experience who is looking to work alongside nationally recognized trial lawyers and appellate advocates on high-stakes commercial litigation, product liability, class actions, multidistrict litigation, and appellate matters.

The ideal candidate has a strong academic background, outstanding writing skills, and experience at an Am Law 100 firm or through a judicial clerkship. This role offers significant responsibility and the opportunity to work on some of the firm's most complex and high-profile litigation matters.

Responsibilities

• Represent corporate clients in sophisticated commercial litigation, product liability, class actions, multidistrict litigation (MDLs), and appellate matters.
• Assist with all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, appeals, and case strategy.
• Draft briefs, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation filings.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues.
• Collaborate with litigation teams across multiple offices on high-profile matters.
• Participate in client meetings, case strategy discussions, and other significant litigation activities.
• Support litigation involving commercial disputes, environmental matters, government investigations, appellate advocacy, and product liability claims.
• Develop strong client relationships while delivering high-quality, business-focused legal representation.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 1–5 years of litigation experience at an Am Law 100 firm and/or a judicial clerkship.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with the capacity to work effectively in collaborative litigation teams.
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Active membership in the Washington Bar.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary of $225,000–$365,000 , depending on experience.
