Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Participate in required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
• Adhere to facility policies including holiday rotation requirements, working at least every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license – must hold a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active AHA or American Red Cross ACLS certification required
• Epic charting experience within the last 6 months required
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment within the past 12 months (Charge RN references accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of Med/Surg Telemetry experience within a single location
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition assessments and medication safety evaluations
