Maintenance Technician - Nights

Position PBNA $27.45 / hour. Compensation can range from $27.45/hour to $38.45/hour based on experience. The position is responsible for repairing and installing production and manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment for proper functioning, performing preventative maintenance as per manufacturer specifications, diagnosing malfunctions, and making necessary repairs or adjustments. Must have own hand tools. The role requires continuous work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals, frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling. Weekend and/or holiday work may be required. Primary Accountabilities Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment Repair all production equipment as needed Perform breakdown analysis Perform general housekeeping Upgrade production lines with new equipment or technology Work with outside contractors assigned to the line Change line for package changeovers Comply with GMP, safety, and audit standards Work independently under limited supervision (self‑management) Document work schedule and tasks completed Basic Qualifications 18 years or older Pass technical assessment covering job‑critical maintenance knowledge areas Experience with mechanical systems (gearboxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings) Experience with product manuals (reading and applying knowledge to repair) Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing) Experience reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics) Helpful Experience Experience with basic electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays) Experience with compressors/ammonia systems (refrigeration systems) Experience with conveyors and airveyors (air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor/speed controls) Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting) Experience with electronics (level probes, flow meters, drives/VFDs) Experience with gearing and gearboxes (rebuilds, ordering parts, machining) Experience with hydraulic systems (high‑pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting) Experience with kinematics (line speed/sprocket size ratios) Review rating instructions Experience with packaging/high‑speed production (bottling, consumer products) Experience with PLC (industrial maintenance, computer control systems) Experience with pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting) Experience with pneumatic/air compression (valves, cylinders) Experience with preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data) Experience with pumps (troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs) Experience with schematics (electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays) Experience with servo systems (intelligent/robotic motors, in‑coders) Experience in troubleshooting (diagnostics, problem solving) Experience working in team‑based environments (collaboration with others) Our Company will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and all applicable laws.
