Summary This position is located with the Office of the Secretary of Interior, OS Assistant Secretary - Indian Affairs in Washington, District of Columbia. The position is in the Office of the Assistant Secretary - Indian Affairs where the incumbent reports to a senior staff member or supervisor. The incumbent provides administrative, analytical, and support functions in an executive office environment. Learn more about this agency Duties Help As Executive Assistant, GS-0301, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to: Assists in providing support on matters coming before the supervisor for review. Reviews documents, correspondence, and questions received in the office and assigns to appropriate subordinate for action. Gathers information related to program issues and helps assemble data as directed by supervisor. Establishes and revises office procedures to be followed by staff members and informs them clearly in a timely fashion of changes to established procedures. Assists in obtaining information for the supervisor and staff members from various sources. Conducts assignments involving the selection, compilation and summarization of data to be used in reports and other correspondence. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

- As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period during which your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest will be evaluated
- A background security investigation will be required for all new hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication.
