Customer Service Representative

Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: Hawks Prairie 33 - Lacey, WA 98516 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 Hourly Job Category: Banking Customer Service Representative Essential Job Functions: Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit. Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices. Process withdrawals. Identify counterfeit currency. Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies. Cross-sell bank products and services. Refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line. Count and roll loose coins. Issue personal money orders and cashier's checks for U.S. Savings Bonds. Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts. Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded. Ensure teller station is properly supplied. Close accounts when requested. Follow procedures for removing accounts for dormancy. Balance drawer daily. Redeem US. Savings Bonds. Maintain appropriate currency logs. QualificationsRequirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Less than 1 year previous customer service experience Less than 1 year previous cash handling experience Must take/pass entry level teller assessment test within the first 90 days. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to exercise good judgement in making decisions. Ability to protect and maintain confidential information. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate on a telephone Ability to write, speak, read and hear Ability to stand for long periods of time.
