Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist. This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting the day-to-day accounts payable function. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and committed to accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment. Primary Job Roles Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and process electronic payments. Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files. Monitor accounts to ensure timely and accurate payments. Follow up on overdue accounts and resolve payment discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of journal entries. Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. Enter financial transactions into the accounting system with precision. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Provide general administrative support to the finance department. Assist with special projects as assigned. Skills & Abilities Minimum of a high school diploma; an associate's degree in accounting or related field is preferred. Proven experience as an accounting clerk or similar role. Minimum 3 years experience preferred. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Compensation and Benefits Hourly base pay range $23.00-27.00 per hour; depending on experience Medical, Vision, Dental PTO 401(k) Safe Harbor with a company match Full-time Life Insurance Long/Short Term Disability Insurance Work Location Cleburne, TX This is not a remote working position Monday-Friday 8:00am -5:00pm
