Lead BakerTilly Bagel Shop Fulton Market is seeking a Lead Baker (morning). We are passionate about making fresh, delicious bagels that are perfect for breakfast, lunch, or any time of day. Our menu features a variety of bagels, sandwiches, spreads, and other pastries, all made with quality ingredients. We are committed to providing excellent customer service and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.Hours: Morning/Day Shift - Full Time shifts run - 7am-3pm 5 days per week with flexibility for some 6am-2pm or 5am-1pmRequirements :2 year previous experience in baking/pastry/prep is requiredExperience in an overnight shift position preferredResponsible for boiling, baking, prepping bagels, baking proteins off for serviceResponsible for setting up catering ordersBe able to work independentlyReliabilityBe able to work well under pressure, multitask, and have excellent communication skillsBe comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume environment and be able to meet the demands of a busy bagel shopFollow recipes and food safety guidelines, and have experience with food preparation equipment such as slicers and mixersHave passion about food and have a strong work ethicWork independently and as part of a team, and be willing to learn new skillsStand for long periods of time and lift up to 75 poundsHave a positive attitude and be willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfactionHigh school diploma or equivalentServSafe CertifiedJob Duties: creating and mixing sourdough sponges mixing batches, weighing out dough, rolling and shaping bagels ensuring proper proofing of bagels delegating tasks among team, leading team throughout shift completing inventory / submitting orders organizing and deep cleaning the space and equipment streamlining effective kitchen procedures for best quality of product while ensuring efficiencyCompensation: Hourly ($20.00) plus tipsBenefits & Perks: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, 401kRequired Skills: Ability to Manage Time Effectively, Strong Leadership Skills, Attention to Detail, Ability to Adapt to Changing Situations, Customer Service Orientation, Team Collaboration, Problem Solving Skills, Ability to Handle Stress
