This is fully onsite position located in Woodland Hills, CA working a 9/80 schedule.What You’ll get to Do:Manage/Oversee a team of Systems Engineers supporting the model-based development and management of requirements and architectures of inertial navigation systemsDevelop and implement strong processes with emphasis on quantitative management and continuous improvementProvide management guidance to achieve outstanding cost, schedule and technical performanceResponsible for technical guidance and oversight in developing technical and cost proposalsInterface with business facing leads to coordinate staffing requirements and ensure proper skill mix to support program activitiesMentor and challenge team members to develop skills and provide career planning/development pathsResponsible for all manager related activities to include, but not limited to: Conduct performance and salary reviews, approve timecards, performance management, and work closely with HR on elevated employee mattersOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications Model Based Systems Engineering Manager 2 - Requirements and Architectures:Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 8 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and best practicesExperience leading a team on a technical development effort or technical production supportUnderstanding of Systems Engineering or project management tools such as DOORS, MS Project, etc.Experience with Systems Engineering processes, procedures, and best practicesExperience with generating and/or reviewing cost estimates/basis of estimates (BOEs)The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance is required within a timeframe set forth by managementMust be able to work full-time onsite in Woodland Hills, CA.Preferred Qualifications Model Based Systems Engineering Manager 2 - Requirements and Architectures:Master’s Degree in a technical field with 6 years of experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environment or PHD with 3 years of experienceDevelopment and implementation of processes to ensure product development efficiency and accuracyExperience in inertial sensor development, fiber optics, ring laser gyros, and sensor electronicsA proven track record of leading a team of engineers and of establishing strong relationships with other functional organizations and Program OfficesExperienced with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, such as Siemens Teamcenter EnterpriseExperienced with failure analysis techniques and methods (RCCAs)Technical project management with budget/EVMS experienceDemonstrated success with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) philosophies and toolsExperience with authoring and reviewing technical proposalsExperience with engineering planning, scheduling, metrics, earned value systems, and workload forecastingActive DoD Secret clearancePrimary Level Salary Range: $161,100.00 - $241,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
