salary: $17 - $20 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Load raw metal stock (brass, aluminum, stainless steel) into CNC machines, initiate machining cycles, and monitor production runs.

• Setup & Adjustments: Assist with machine setup, load correct tooling, and perform basic offset adjustments or program debugging when required.

• Quality Assurance: Inspect first-article and production parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, height gauges) to ensure adherence to tight tolerances.

• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, engineering blueprints, and process sheets to verify dimensions and finishing specs.

• Maintenance & Cleanliness: Perform routine preventative maintenance (coolant checks, chip removal, daily lubrication) and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S standards).

• Documentation: Log daily production counts, cycle times, non-conformance reports, and scrap counts accurately.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
