Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the daily logistical flow of our international operations. This role is critical in ensuring that our precision products are handled with care, documented accurately, and delivered to global clients on schedule. The ideal candidate thrives in an organized environment and takes pride in maintaining a professional, high-standard workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics & Documentation: Coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipments, including domestic freight and international parcels. Prepare commercial invoices for customs and bills of lading.
- Inventory Control: Utilize QuickBooks to manage stock levels, receive items against purchase orders, and track outgoing shipments.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming materials for damage and verify contents with high precision.
- Workflow Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse space; utilize organized rolling storage systems to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Specialized Packaging: Securely package delicate and high-value items to withstand international transit, ensuring all technical components are protected.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Software Proficiency: Mandatory experience with QuickBooks for inventory or order management. Proficiency in shipping platforms (UPS WorldShip, FedEx, DHL) is preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years in shipping, receiving, or warehouse logistics. Experience with international shipping/customs is a major plus.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage complex technical SKU lists and verify specifications without error.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active on the warehouse floor.
