Assistant Teaching Professor of Supply Chain Management/Business Analytics Position Overview Organization: Milgard School of Business Title: Assistant Teaching Professor of Supply Chain Management/Business Analytics Compensation The base salary range for this position is $10,555 to $11,111 per month ($94,995 to $99,999 per 9‑month academic year), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation may include a one‑time relocation stipend if applicable. A summary of benefits can be found at Position Description Teaching faculty at the University of Washington Tacoma (UWT) perform teaching, scholarship, and service. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute as an engaged colleague to serve our growing school and campus. They will teach a variety of supply chain and business analytics courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels across multiple modalities (in‑person, virtual, and/or hybrid), maintain a scholarly agenda that contributes to business education, and provide service to the university, the business school, and the community. They will maintain involvement, participation, and/or leadership within their pedagogical or practitioner communities that maintains professional qualification(s), as required for AACSB accreditation. They will assist in curriculum development, promote continuous improvement, and actively collaborate with colleagues in service of our school and university’s mission. Positive factors for consideration include experience in curriculum development and/or teaching in multiple modalities, including online, hybrid, and in-person. Professional, applied experience in supply chain, operations management, logistics, or related field is also valued. Candidates demonstrating such experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Teaching experience in one or more of the following areas : Supply chain related courses such as supply chain management, logistics and distribution management, supply chain risk, sourcing, demand and supply chain planning, quality control, project management, optimization, sustainability, and supply chain technology. Business intelligence/analytics courses such as data/text mining, database management, business process management, prescriptive analytics, analytical decision‑making, machine learning, information systems/technology, R and/or Python programming, and cloud services for analytics. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems/Technology, Data Science, Computer Science or other related field with a primary focus on supply chain.
